One of the main messages I’ve always wanted my blog to translate, is that it’s one hundred percent authentic. I write nothing but what I’ve personally been through, felt and experienced in the hopes it inspires and helps just one person who’s reading along.
I’ve recently been in a bit of a slump – feeling stuck… something that happens often in life when we’re striving for something big, and subsequently going through massive personal growth. Although it’s one of the most rewarding and inevitable processes in life, it’s at times like this that can be really tough on the old moral.
But as I continued to push through, to try and use all my own advice about silencing the inner critic, being kind to myself, allowing myself to feel everything that I was feeling, an old familiar saying kept popping into my head; ‘trust the process’.
A couple of days ago one of my wonderful friends, and someone I really look up to, shared this amazing video on learning to trust the process of life’s journey. Garrain Jones (who is an incredible motivational speaker, author and Herbalife distributor/ powerhouse) manages to put it all into such beautiful, soothing words:
We forget that we’re all human and far more connected to everyone around us than we realise. We see our own struggles as just that, our own, and that no one else feels the same levels of self-doubt and therefore there’s something wrong with us. But at our core, we are all discovering, and often battling our sense of self worth and value. It’s our place of vulnerability, fear, and ‘humanness’ which connects us all on a profoundly deep level. When we practise the art of trusting life’s journey, we take out the need for such extreme control over the ‘how’ and replace it with a sense of peace that it’s all happening just as it’s meant to be.
The universe/higher power/ God, is always working for us and never against us. Every trial put in front of us can be looked at as the next ‘upgrade’ we need in order to receive our next blessing. If only we could learn to just breath, let go and know that we are exactly where we are meant to be right now, and that our lives always plan out never as we expected, but a million times more magical.
So I hope this post serves as a reminder that you’re doing an absolutely incredible job, no matter where you are in life. Learn to start trusting the process of life, your individual path, and watch the magic unfold in front of your eyes.
